Influence of Cr doping on the structural, optical, and third-order nonlinear optical properties of ZnAl2O4 nanoceramics

In this research, Zn(1−x)CrxAl2O4 (x = 0.00, 0.05, 0.10, 0.20) nanoparticles were prepared by a simple and green chemistry synthesis using gelatin as polymerization agent. X-ray diffraction technique scanning electron microscopy imaging used to analyze the structural morphological properties of samples. results revealed that all samples polycrystalline crystallized in cubical spinel phase. With increasing x from 0.00 0.20, main Bragg peaks shift smaller angles, crystallite size energy bandgap decrease well. The nonlinear absorption coefficient, β, refractive index, n2, meticulously studied Z-scan approach. orders n2 β are 10−7 10−4 cm/W, respectively. saturable self-defocusing effect factors appearance experimental confirmed percentage Cr caused coefficients increase.
